The Haven is a leading Women’s Refuge based in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, providing short-term, temporary accommodation to women and children.  It has a reputation for excellence and innovation.  We help families rebuild their lives after experiencing domestic violence and/or homelessness enabling them to face the future with confidence and hope. 

We are seeking to appoint a new Chair-person to lead our strong and dedicated Board of Trustees through a process of change at a time of recession. As our Chair, you will bring a strong personal profile, strategic vision and leadership to support the Board and Staff of The Haven as we work together in the spirit of collaboration and partnership at both Local, National, and (International) levels. You will have substantial leadership experience, excellent Chairing and ambassadorial skills and the ability to relate to a wide range of Stakeholders at all levels. If you would like to find out more about this opportunity, please contact Kath Rees, Chief Executive, for an informal discussion.  Please note that due to the Charitable status of The Haven, this is an unpaid position with reasonable expenses paid. A Job Description and Person Specification is available to download from our Website at  www.havenrefuge.org.uk.
